250 Rounds Winchester Ranger Bonded Q4392 - 9mm 147 grain Bonded Jacketed Hollow Point in 50 round boxes. FBI Contract RA9B with the PDX1 bullet.

First quality, nickel cases. This was the 9mm duty round issued by the FBI prior to Speer Gold Dot 2.

This ammunition is normally only available to law enforcement, however we can offer this to all of our customers. This is Winchester Ranger Q4392, which is the FBI's special catalog number for Winchester Ranger RA9B.
This is first-quality ammunition from a contract overrun manufactured as a service load for the FBI (Olin-Winchester Contract Number J-FBI-13-127). Box date codes indicate a manufacture date of March 2016. This is the exact same ammunition sold to other law enforcement agencies as RA9B. Apparently RA9B does NOT use the PDX1 bullet but the Q4364 ammunition does

This is not the same cartridge sold as ZRA9B. Those were RA9B law enforcement cartridges that were sold to the public as factory seconds because of cosmetic imperfections. While the Reclassified government sales material stuff that is out of spec is marked on the 50 packs, or put into a different box, or relabeled to change the SKU # from its original form. Q4364 is first quality ammunition in the original factory boxes and without markings. The AK Files

Some sellers are currently offering lots of RA9B with brass cases rather than the normal nickel cases. These were reclassified for consumer sales as ZRA9B. Some of those boxes are marked RA9B and others RA9BA.

The ammunition we are offering has nickel cases. It is
the exact same ammunition sold to law enforcement agencies as RA9B.

$0.59/cartridge for one of the best and the most difficult to find 9mm self defense rounds. The ammunition in packaged in ten 50 round boxes as pictured. This ammunition may have been manufactured in East Alton, IL or Winchester's new plant in Oxford, MS.

Ranger® Bonded handgun ammunition was specifically created to deliver maximum penetration through the toughest of barriers. This effectiveness is made possible thanks to the Winchester proprietary core/jacket bonding process—and is enhanced with a special hollow point cavity that acts in unison to control expansion, leading to maximum weight retention and deep penetration through hard and abrasive barriers including auto glass. The bonding process changes the bullet from shiny to dull. Selected by federal law enforcement agencies for their .40 and 9mm caliber service rounds, the Ranger Bonded gives you the penetration to handle the most serious of threats.

"At a Winchester ammo seminar earlier this year, I expressly asked the assembled execs if they had ever heard of a case where an armed citizen's choice of their LEO/Ranger ammo had been used against them in court, and they replied that they had not."
Massad Ayoob posting on "The High Road"

"Whatever you choose, make sure you fire at least 500 and preferably 1000 failure free shots through your pistol prior to carrying it. If your pistol cannot fire at least 1000 consecutive shots without a malfunction, something is wrong and it is not suitable for duty/self-defense use." Dr. Gary Roberts in pistol-forum.com

While you're at it, order some of the recommended practice round for Ranger RA9T 147 Gr. Hollow Points: Speer Lawman 9mm Luger 147gr FMJ 53620 or Federal American Eagle 9mm 147gr FMJ AE9AP

"Bullet designs like the Silver Tip, Hydra-Shok, and Black Talon were state of the art 15 or 20 years ago. These older bullets tend to plug up and act like FMJ projectiles when shot through heavy clothing; they also often have significant degradation in terminal performance after first passing through intermediate barriers. Modern ammunition which has been designed for robust expansion against clothing and intermediate barriers is significantly superior to the older designs. The bullets in the Federal Classic and Hydrashok line are outperformed by other ATK products such as the Federal Tactical and HST, as well as the Speer Gold Dot; likewise Winchester Ranger Talons are far superior to the old Black Talons or civilian SXT's."
